Fittingly, on 05-25-2021, Vortex Optics announced their latest optic, the new Vortex Venom 5-25X56 FFP Riflescope. At a price point of $699 MSRP, this feature filled scope is another shot across the bow of the newer, lower priced optics we’ve seen from many “new” companies. Along with the Vortex Strike Eagle, this new Venom riflescope goes a long way to fill every gap needed by bench shooting varminters who like to stretch their shots beyond the standard 100-300 yard ranges we typically shoot. We will do our best to acquire one of these scopes for a full range and field overview and review. In the meantime, here is all the information directly from the Vortex Optics’ website:
Take the first step into long-range shooting with an optic that helps you go the distance with a ton of shooter-friendly features. Featuring a 5x mag range built into a 34mm tube for a massive amount of turret travel, the Venom® also includes our RevStop™ Zero System for a fast, easy, reliable return to zero. The EBR-7C, First Focal Plane reticle gives you accurate holds at any magnification, and an included throw lever allows for fast transitions between magnifications. It’s the quickest way to get your rifle out to 1,000 yards and beyond at a price that lets you go deep for less.
