This is the first coyote we have shot using the new Hornady 62 grain ELD-VT bullets out of a .22 ARC (#GrendARC) In this video, we show the performance of this bullet on a 25.5 lb. coyote that was shot at 185 yards. Shot placement was poor, but wind, obstructions (sage brush) and no follow-through were determining factors. However, we were testing to see how this bullet performed when hitting bone. Please keep in mind, this is just ONE coyote we have shot with this bullet, so this is not our final thoughts on it’s ability to consistently drop coyotes. We have already shot a handful of coyotes using the 53 Grain VMax out of the .22 ARC, so this is the beginning of performance testing of this bullet. We will be shooting many other projectiles, including from smaller bullet manufacturers, like RMR Bullets and Mead Ammunition. Stay-Tuned!!
