Thompson Center announced a recall on some of their Compass rifles due to a condition that may cause the rifle to fire if the firearm is dropped while the safety is in the “fire” position. This has prompted a recall on ALL Compass rifles produced prior to September 16, 2016. They recommend that owners of these rifles stop using them immediately and contact Thompson Center at the following number to arrange the return of your rifle: (855) 512-5935
All the information on the recall, and how to ship back your rifle for inspection, can be found on the TCArms Compass Recall website: http://compassrecalltcarms.com/
