Gray Fox (Urocyon cinereoargenteus)


The largest of the fox family. Prefers to call the woodlands his home, but can be found in open brushy areas. A night roamer across the greatest part of the U.S., has the ability to climb trees (unlike any other fox species) for food or refuge. Height: (at shoulder) 14-15", weight:7-13 pounds, breeding Feb.-March. Number of young: 3-4.
