With the grace of all, the backlash is starting. This next Thursday, local advocates are holding a 2nd Amendment rally at the local Civic Center. At present, the estimated attendance is over 5,000! It will be an overflow crowd, as the facility only holds about 2,500.

Roswell, NM is NOT unique. Similar rallies are being held in other cities in NM, as they are in other cities and towns across America. Law abiding citizens are up in arms—pun intended— and won't take this invasion of our personal rights by laying down their arms!

Hurrah!

I read yesterday that 27 of 33 counties in NM declared themselves Second Amendment Sanctuary Counties in response to the stricter gun control laws placed into effect by the Democrats in Santa Fe. I also know a lot of people in NM who are shocked by the new liberal abortion laws. My roots are in NM and it troubles me to see what is happening. Maybe the citizens will finally stop voting for Democrats.

Good luck with your efforts.

BTW... It looks like Texas will gladly accept Federal funds to build their wall. Texas will probably fund parts of it also.  If Texas does manage to stop some of the illegal flow across their southern border, guess where all the drugs and illegals will cross? Next door in New Mexico!!

I think democrats are so intoxicated with taking back the house and fundraising cash from high profile far leftists that they don't even realize they have grossly stepped way over the line. From gun control, infanticide, to antisemitizem, they are constantly poking their finger in the eye of most main stream voters. Yes I'm cautiously optimistic for a significant beat down on them in 2020.

So am I and that is a sign of troubling times when logically thinking Americans are "cautiously optimistic" against the crop of Democrats & party ideals they are promising.

Agreed. It should be a no brainer. After Obama's second term win I don't take anything for granted.

I'll put on my tinfoil hat. After all we have learned about the 2016 election and how difficult it still is exposing all that known corruption. I'll say again I do not believe that Obama actually won a second term and that REALLY makes me not take anything for granted.

The Dems are desperately trying to find a way to get Trumps tax returns. If they do, they will proceed with a nasty Kavanaugh type lynching and make that the key debate for the entire election. They just attempted to pass voting legislation with a hidden agenda to get Trump's taxes. They will try to shift focus away from all the success Trump has had. I wouldn't be surprised if they try to get Trump disqualified and it winds up at the Supreme Court. They are already trying to buy votes with promises of Social Justice (their wording for Socialism) and more "Free stuff for everyone!".  I too would love to see them get clobbered in 2020.

The truth is they're at about DEFCON 2. These antics are all they have and IMO they're making fools of themselves in the view of most people. Meanwhile Trump's approval numbers gradually climb.

Additionally A.O.C. and Omar are a gift from god and I hope they keep up the good work.

I really hope most Americans aren't falling for their BS.

I've seen that A.O.C. image before, but I just now noticed the tag on her shirt. It is funny!

I agree and thanks for that tag on her shirt. I had not noticed that yet either. Fits her perfect

It's a shame.  New Mexico is a beautiful state and like most liberal states, if you get away from the large cities, it is as conservative and Pro 2A as you can get.  Keep fighting!

Can't get away from it in CA. Our new gov has banned execution (750 plus on death row) in CA for as long as he is in office. Isn't this the voters right to decide? Now if your city doesn't provide low cost housing  he will stop gas tax revenue to that city. Sounds like the former Soviet system, doesn't it? When did democracy die and can we get it back? Next, it's the Second AmendmentIt... makes me sick.

Illinois elected a far left governor this time around. I blame the previous "RINO" (Gov Rauner) for being squishy and spineless. When politicians act that way they don't excite anyone to get out to vote for them. e.g.; Mitt Romney.

My hope is after this term a true conservative has the opportunity to turn it around. Much like Bush led to Obama led to Trump.

Anyway in IL we have a Firearms Owners Identification Card (FOID) that IMO is unconstitutional to start with....none the less it's required to buy or possess guns or ammo in IL. The FOID is run by the Secretary of State / State Police background check and expires after 5 years. I applied for mine on Jan 28 as mine was to expire om March 1. 6 weeks later and it still hasn't arrived. So currently I'm an outlaw. Governor Blagojevich  (who is now in prison) also slowed down the delivery of FOID cards for a thumb in the eye of gun owners.

Stop executing violent criminals and start committing infanticide. Only a Dem would see the logic in that.

And since you brought up gas  .... according to AAA the average gas price is California is $3.33 and only $2.34 here in Oklahoma. California really hikes up the price with gas and diesel taxes.

To house a prison inmate in California, costs the taxpayers about $81,000 per year. A death row inmate is closer to $90,000 (24/7 confinement). The last person to be excited in California, cost the taxpayers $310 million! Since the number of death row inmates sits at 714 (as of March 1st, 2019), you don't have to be a rocket scientist to do the math. But why the high costs? The answer is simple...

Damn liberals!
