This Fox was called in close, Im talking about 10-15 yards.

The area for this stand is kinda strange. It has a steep old fire road to the left and a very short rocky clearing on the right.

The Fox seem to like showing up on big rocks surrounding the clearing and then disappear back into thick manzanita in just seconds. You gotta be ready!

I spotted a Fox a ways out and probably could've ended it then, but I decided to keep calling. About 5 minutes later (another?) Fox shows from the same direction, much closer standing on a rock facing me. I figured it's close enough now and I took the shot.

Drilled it right under the jaw right in the chest. A perfect shot on a very nice looking gray fox.

Looks like it's ready for the taxidermist. :) Or was the other side exploded?
