We have been shooting dogs at the Rosewood Sioux Reservation near Winner, S.D. getting to be a little on the pricey side and looking at Wyoming, Cody,Gillete,Casper areas. Anyone have any info on where to start digging to find a good area?

Been to Sheridan the last two years, good shooting, plenty of dog's. Guide was about $225 a day. Trying northern South Dakota this year.

Just south of Wheatland (≈12 miles), is a wonderful prairie dog area It's on the east side of I25, where it crosses over the old highway. The last time I was there (5 years ago or so), you could shoot all day and not make a dent! Longest shot is in excess of 4 miles, except to the east where is is about 800 yards.

Thanks for the info on Wheatland, may look into that area. Thinking of driving out there and talking to ranchers to set something up for next season. Sorry for the late response just have not checked in lately.
