Yeah I wouldn't even come close. If I kill a dozen it's a good year.

That brings up a good question - I wonder if there is anywhere that you can see the population density of coyotes in different areas/states.  I've seen on other forums where some guys from back East are posting pics of hunts and some of them have piles upon piles of coyotes consistently.  Judging from the amount of dense green foliage in a lot of the pics I've gotta think that way more small animals and thus coyotes could be sustained in those areas compared to the super dry West where I'm from.  I know there's a good amount of them out here, but it would take some serious mileage to get the numbers I've seen put up.

Aspen.. eastern are well fed and run tree line and are sometimes very hard to pull out of the brush. and they dont give a blow up varmints! about smelling a human cause they are always around them.
where I have heard the scarcity of food in the west makes calling them in easier. but they are not as used to human scent. But I see guys out west laying down way more yotes than in the east.

Who knows.. I am just talking out of my butt.

That's what I've always seen. Whatever the reason? We could speculate on all day.

Here in Eastern Ohio & Western Pa a lot of coyotes are killed over dogs. Those piles of coyotes might be getting shot that way. The Amish population is heavy in the areas I mentioned & they run them year round. That makes it tough to call them here bacause they may not even be in the County when I'm out. But I give a whirl nonetheless!!

Ok, now your just showing off :D We need to see you getting to work on that 100 number you brought up.

I'm gonna get to work on the foxes as soon as November 24th gets here. That's when California says I can shoot em.

I'm out calling Bobcat and call in 5 fox out on 6 stands, but no Bobcat. It's game on for fox the day after Thanksgiving!

That'd be great. I lost a really good calling area due to the sale of the property. So far I haven't been able to replace it with any new spots.

That would be nice. I have a few acres here and few acres there. Largest is about 60 acres & smallest is around 5 acres. I do have larger game land areas, but when game animal hunting season ends....no hunting of any sort allowed at all. The same applies on Ft Bragg. It will however be fun watching Jay aim at a hundred.
