Hi all,

I finally sorted things to start making these reloads - 25gr HP for my 17 Hornet.

My summary is "outstanding"

The rifle is a CZ527 with a Sporter GRS stock, with a Bushnell 4.5x14x44 Legend scope, topped with a MAE suppressor, and Harris bipod

The photo speaks for itself, these projectiles are perfect for medium range rabbit destruction

These were all shot from 90 - 220 yards

Nice! Ive never loaded a 25 in my 17 AH. Always stayed with the 20s. Might need to try them out sometime!

I bet you can hear the "WHOP" of your bullet, NZ!  Those hares or rabbits look like a lot of good eating.

Nice!  I would love to go hare shooting some place where they have a huge problem!  I may have found a place in NV, so we'll see!

I agree that the 25 grainers are great for varmints!

With some fear of stealing a thread...

www.thejump.net/small-game/jack-rabbit.htm

If you want to know more about jacks, this site has a very good description of each major sub species. Here in New Mexico, most of the jacks are black tails, but we do have antelope jacks too. I think the only difference in New Mexico compared to other states, is their size. It is so dry here most of the year, the jacks tend to be very small—less than 5 pounds—albeit I've shot a few which weight about 10 pounds.
