Interesting. 275yds is a fair long poke. What is the velocity drop off at that range I wonder?

 

Just saying, I use lead ballistic tips in my .204 caliber weighing 39 grains. Bullets with similar in weight and muzzle velocity. While I don't typically want or take 275 yard shots, I know it's capable of dropping them dead on the spot at that range. I'm pretty sure the .20 cal bullet retains velocity better than the .22

 

I think you should give it a second chance on a coyote. One or two coyote shots are not always indicative as every scenario is different.
