i need a scope for my .17HMR im looking for sumthing like a 6-24 or sumthing like that. dont need it way high just more thin my 3x9..

I wasn't sure about the seriousness of your post so I didn't respond. There are too many scopes out there to list. What are your intended ranges & targets. IMHO & for what I use my HMR for I wouldn't go over 12X. Thats just me tho. An AO would probably be nice if your after squirrels or something small like that. Set up on 12X then adjust the objective to 100yds or whatever your distance is & shoot em in the head.

im looking for sumthing like up to 24X ill be shooting ground squirrels and small game and crows i dont plan on shooting past 150yrs i live in Oregon and we have alot of trees where i live so...cant shoot way out there i do go over east and shot sage rats ...25yrs-250yrs so im looking for sumthing that i can shoot sum sage rats and do sum target shooting with too 100yrs i have a 3x9 22mag simmons scope its a vary good scope but i need more cant see way out there at 100-150yrs..i was looking for sumthing like a .mueller scope or sumthing like that ..i have $175 i cant go over that. its a gift from my girl friend..

I understand what you want now. $175 isn't much for a 24X scope. If you check the links I provided you can find something in your $$ range with quite a bit of magnification. I know Cabelas has a 17HMR specific scope. I'll find that thread here & bump it up for you as well.

yes i now i get what i pay for but ....its a gift and she dont now that...she says she is not paying as much as i payed for the gun 199.99 ...LOL im taking here out east to shoot sum sage rats i got her a 10/22 for are anniversary gift she told me to get a scope...so im looking for the best one for 175...and its hard!

I understand your situation very well. And I think you're doing quite well. Keep her happy so she'll continue to shoot with you. I think more women should at least shoot paper if nothing else.
