Full Version: How To Change Your Forum "skin" (style)
The Varminter Forums > The Varminter Forums > Varminter
Eric Mayer
Okay folks!! The forums are now upgraded!! The front and articles page will be up in a couple of hours.

Now, if you want to change the "skin" or style of your forum, just scroll to the bottom of the forum page and use the drop down menu to choose which one you want. You can always go back to the normal one, but in the selection you have a camoflauge based forum, a light tan forum, a thin biege forum and the standard white forum. Try one, or try all!!

If anyone runs into any problems, please let me know in this thread.

Thanks!

Eric, I'm new to this forum. How do you add a logo/decal to your profile (the one on the side of posts).

I like the new look, but can't keep any of the pages centered on my screen. Evertime I change forums click back or forward I have to manually move page to the center.

What is your display properties (right click on your desktop, left click properties, left click settings)? The skin is best viewed at 1024x768. If you want, you can always change the skin to another down at the bottom left and it may help. I will be adding the logo and buttons on the default skin today.

Is anyone else having this problem? If so, please post here.

Thanks!

Changing the settings didn't help but changing the Forum skin did. Two of the three work fine but the one I like best Moh Import doesn't. Feels like I'am not with you guys anymore.

I had the same problem. I keep the resolution on my monitor set at 800x600 because everything gets tiny if I use a higher resolution.

I'm using the IP.Board Pro skin at 800x600 and it fits fine.

Also, the font in the MoH skin was too light for me. Not enough contrast. I like the black type, much easier on the peepers. blink.gif

I'm running an old laptop and the problem I always had was too smal to read. This format fills my screen.

I do have to agree the font color is a little light, black would be easier to read.

Okay, I slightly increased the size of the fonts. I also made the fonts in bold format. That should help.

The default skin is ready to go as well, with all links in place.
