If you're pics are bigger than the maximum file size (in bytes) or are excessively large try this. The file size is below the Smilie section. I started doing this recently & have had no problems with it at all.
Right click on the picture you want. Choose the "Open with" option. Then choose "Microsoft pic. Manager". Go to top of the page & click "Picture" tab. Select "Resize". On right side of the picture choose the "Predefined" resize setting. Right below that option is a drop down menu. Choose "Web Small". Thats what I use. It's 448x336 pixels. Click "OK" down below that. Now go back to the top of the page & select "File". Then select "Save As". Enter a file name in the box. Then just click "Save". Go to the Varminter & enter something in the Reply box. Click on "Browse". Select your picture from your files & click the "Add Reply" tab. Don't use "Preview" when posting pics. You will have to resubmit your post if you do. This seems like a lot but it's merely 2 minutes after you've done your 2nd or 3rd one. You can even try the "Web Large" if you like. Now I do have Windows XP. I don't know what you have but it should be compatable.
Edit---Save the picture to your computer 1st. Sorry. Makes it easier.

I've noticed that even though some pics are below the 95 K bites they cause the whole page to be too wide. I think pics have to be below 95K and under 600 pixels. When I post a pic I go back and see how it looks when it got posted,,,, if its too big in pixels I edit it out and go back and resize my pic down a bit till it fits.

Is this still to big?
Glen

Just a little but it's not that bad. I think dg has it with the under 600 pixels of width. I believe you can custom size them from that page as well. Type in the pixel width/height you want then "OK" it.

On my puter I go to "my pictures" point to the pic I want,, right click on the picture and left click "properties",,, if too big, I x out the properties screen and right click on the pic again and punch "edit",,, now on top I punch "image" then
"stretch and scew",,, line out the 100 in both lines and type in 75 or so,,, makes the pic 75% smaller,, recheck properties ,,,,do it again if necessary.
this is with a windows XP
If the pic is too big yet after I post,,, I rt click on the pic in my post and hit properties,,,, it shows pixels,,, if its over 600 either way I edit my post and go back to my pictures and edit it down a little more.

Here is your pic edited down in pixels
If any pic on the page is too big,,,, everything else posted will seem to large and you have to scroll back and forth to read stuff.

I just edited one of my own. 500 pixels wide seems to be about right.

I think so Glen ,,, alot of pics get posted that are within the 97k in bites but streeeetch out the screen because of pixels. Cool thing is they could all be fixed by the original poster.

Yep. And I'm working on similar results from a Handi with an Ultra barrel in .223. I think I could have gotten them yesterday if it hand't been so windy up at the lake. I had a three shot clover at about the same distance. But I shoot out of the back of my truck wich was moving slightly with the wind.

Looks like this needs to be brought back up ! guys,, if your picture is over 95000 bites or over 600 pixels it screws up everything that gets posted on that thread.
You can go back and edit these pictures easy but check the properties on the photo before you post it.. If it stretches the screen out go back and downsize it a little,,,, makes life easier.

I have been following your direction to the letter, but I just can't get my pictures to increase in size. They do have a button to enlarge them. Could it be the camera setting? I've tryed changing it around, to no avail. What's settings do you use on your camers?
