The squirrels are just beginning to cut White Oak acorns here. A couple taken with the MachII.

Cool deal Red!!
The acorns just haven't been around here much the last 2 years. Luckily I have some hickory woods to hunt. I really need to go squirrelling more often.

Sweet Red! I have been invited squirrel hunting along the Big Horn River this fall. I may need to do it!~AMMOe

Nice Red. Looks like you had some fun, and scored on some fixings for a pulled squirrel sandwich or two. Yum!

Very nice! I have a few weeks before I can get out there, but I'm getting excited to go! Very nice rifle btw. I can tell the bolt handle and the barrel aren't stock but what else is on that?
This is pretty much the whole story on the rifle right here:
http://www.varminter.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=13446 it has had a couple moly fusion treatments that have helped dramatically with case head failures. My barrel is pushing max length (19")...for best results 16"-17" would be optimum IMO. It requires more frequent cleaning than my .22's. That's partly due to my choice of Eley ammo which is quite dirty compared to CCI or Hornady. It shoots accurately though and I've had fewer failures with it,
and it's cheaper. They slice through squirrels like a hot knife.

those are some nice squirrels you got there RED. So whats range did you shoot them at , seems anytime I take my 17M2 out squirrel hunting I have to stick to a good head hit and still get a large exit hole, but yours don't look like it did to much damage to them.
35-40 yards or so. Both body shots, both were pass thru's but not a lot of damage. No big exit.
