It was cool this morning. 65 degrees @ 8:30 by my outdoor thermostat. Probably why the hogs didn't start moving until almost noon. That's when the shooting finally started heating up along with the temperature.

But in the mean time, it was a gorgeous morning with blue skies and bright sunshine in this idyllic setting, even though it's a golf course, with plenty to see such as geese, osprey, hawks, heron and young fawns that still had their spots. Check out the cell phone photos of these twins from 15' to 20' away.

Then it was time to get down to business. There are definitely fewer hogs after weekly trips to the golf course since June. The harvest takes longer and the numbers are less. But the quality is still there as you can see from their size. Don't have a scale, but I know they're over ten pounds each, especially the one on the left. Had planned to go back this afternoon, but an eye doctor appointment nixed that.

Only four more weeks/outings to go before the season is closed here in Jersey. Hope those hogs get real busy (if you know what I mean) between then and when we get back from Florida next Spring. biggrincamo.gif

This year's yield adds up to a total of 173. 25 from one farm, 36 from another farm and 112 from the golf course. Don't think I will ever see numbers like that again any time soon. screamcamo.gif

That's a great year!! biggrincamo.gif

I usually go around 100 on a good year. I have 72 so far but my health has not been the greatest this year.
