Now even our friends, the Aussies, recognize some of our problems.
Australian Shooter Magazine
An interesting letter in the Australian Shooter Magazine this week,
which I quote: "If you consider that there has been an average of 160,000
troops in the Iraq theater of operations during the past 22 months, and a
total of 2112 deaths, that gives a firearm death rate of 60 per 100,000
soldiers.
The firearm death rate in Washington , DC is 80.6 per 100,000 for the
same period. That means you are about 25 percent more likely to be shot and
killed in the US capital, which has some of the strictest gun control laws
in the US , than you are in Iraq .
Conclusion: "The US should pull out of Washington ."

I noticed alot of the "regulars aren't on here much anymore... Not much going on in this place, I hope everything is going alright for everyone and there unexplained absence is hopefully explained by everyone out shooting critters. I hope to see some great pictures that will take my mind off of college and onto hunting soon! Only a few more days til grouse season opens!!! I can't wait! squirrel and archery too!!!

Just been busy around here is all. Work has slowed to a crawl for me here & I might be laid off next week. Been trying to help my Wife learn how to shoot her new compound & getting ready for deer season. I have a ton of odds & ends around the house to get done too. I'm here everyday. Just some days I don't have as much time to do more than read.
BUT,, the days are shorter & the mornings are cooler. And we all know what that means!!

That's not too bad of a season start! I know there are some guys that start in october sometime and that would not be my idea of fun. I'm hunting from the ground this year as well as there wasn't enough room to bring my treestands up....FIVE DAYS TIL OPENER!!!
