I bought a Swift Premier 4-12X40AO Model #676 4 years ago for my CZ American 221 Fireball. When I got it out for groundhoggin this summer I found it was foggy on 12x & at times it was even foggy on 8 & 10x. The AO showed 20yds when I knew I was shooting 100yd targets. The power ring had gotten about twice as stiff to turn as when it was new also. Altho it still magnified smoothly when I went up or down thru the power. So I called the Swift Co on July 2, 2009 & they gave me an invoicing number to write on the package. I sent it in that afternoon & the wait began. I was told their service department would “get on it right away upon receiving it” & that I could expect it back quickly. No time frame was given otherwise.

Here it is, Friday July 10th. It’s a blue sky 85* day & I got done working at 1 PM. When I got home There was a brown box on the table. And it had a Swift Sport Optics label on it!! It only took 8 days to ship, repair,& return from Ohio to Colorado. It appears to be very clear on all settings now & I need to mount it & take it to the range. Look out groundhogs!! The FireBall is back!!

Did Swift say what the problem was?

It makes you feel pretty good about the money you spent when they fix your gear and get it back so soon. smile.gif

Guess I forgot that part huh??!! laugh.gif

They said they "made some adjustments". Not sure what that means but if it works it works.

Generally speaking, Swift has one of the better warranties in the business. They've always advertised that if you had a problem, take it to the retailer you bought it from, and the dealer would replace it, right then and there. Then the dealer could deal with the company, presumably without heartburn.
This has tempted me several times, but there just aren't any dealers within 50 miles or more of me, so I never got around to buying one. whatthecamo.gif I'm glad to hear that they are good about warranty work, it sure beats some of the bigger name outfits like Weaver or Nikon, who want your sales receipt to do any warranty work. This really torques me off, who keeps receipts for several years? I sure don't!
Next time I need a scope, I'm thinking about the Vortex line, they have essentially the same warranty as Leupold, without paying the Leupold prices, and from what I've seen of their stuff, it's equal quality as the Big L, too.

Swift Optics has split from the parent Swift company & it is out there on it's own now. I checked their website & got a phone number. One call & it was ready to go back. I didn't ask if their warranty had changed from what you posted,, which is why I went with a Swift,, that and a very highly respected member of this Forum wrote an article on them after using them,, because I really wanted to see what it would be like if I had to send one to them.

On this one occasion I would have to give them a 97%. They wanted my home phone # to let me know they received/repaired/returned my scope. I got no phone calls. Therefor the 3 point deduction. Otherwise I'm as happy as can be sans setting it back in the rings once again. biggrincamo.gif
