Lookin' like it is going to go something like this:
29 May, I celebrate my 29th birthday.......for the 29th time......at work eyebrowcamo.gif
When I get off, go home, load up the Focus with an inordinate quantity of guns and ammo, and head for St. Paul, Nebraska. Check-in to the motel (unless some of the group I am meeting there are still um...er...being festive) and get a good nights sleep. Wake up in the morning, have a splendid breakfast and fellowship with the guys, then, go out and blow holes in things (some holes larger than others shockedcamo.gif ). Return to the motel and do it all again the next day. Repeat the above on Sunday, then, return home for another week of Werk......one week......then, repeat the "Load the Focus" thing for my trip to Wyoming.
Going to be a tough ordeal, but someone has to do this....... tongue.gif

Am taking the usual arsenal:
17 Mach 2
17 HMR
17 Mach IV (have reminded myself to make a note not to leave 1,000 rounds of ammo on the floor by the 'Putor huh.gif
17 Rem
204 Habu-Shrew+2
204 Ruger
22 Marlin
223 Rem Bushmaster
22-250
6 MMAI
380 Kel-Tec
357 S&W (the 44 is out of service)
45 ACP
And, of course, The LOTT, Camera and Camcorder!!!

Going to be a fun couple of weeks.........well, except for that wErK thing in the middle.

Is it Friday, yet?????????

That's a lot of iron to carry in a Focus!
Glen
I sure wish I could join you fellas on one of these trips. Maybe someday. You have a bunch of fun Bob & be careful!! I will await the full carnage report!! biggrincamo.gif
skb2706
wow ....besides rifles and ammo you must travel alot lighter than I. First I doubt I could fit 'me' into a Focus let alone anything else. Then you got what, nine rifles and some other guns. Where do you put your shoes ?
I need a full size truck for two guys and we still have to arrange things just right to get it in. We even have a place to stay on the other end with washer and dryer, cuts way down on clothing.

Can't go this year contentcamo.gif unsurecamo.gif , but I'm always thinking of the next trip....... I'll make sure to let you know when it happens. All you gotta do is get to Louisville, and I'm sure I can find you a ride........ (make sure to bring your share of the gas money tonguecamo.gif ).

Lou, Yeah, "Noooooo" was exactly what I was saying when I got to Nebraska last year and discovered I had left the two boxes of 17 Mach IV at home.....still had a couple hundred rounds packed elsewhere:)

Hey Otis biggrin.gif Hope everything is going well with you and the family. May try sneaking down that way again this fall....something about shootin' a yote in the face with the Lott.....

Mike, some of it is stainless-steel......like all those extra barrels....I think there's 8 of them laughcamo.gif

Glen (the one "n" one) air and opportunity biggrincamo.gif Sometimes the guides are really helpful with the camera and camcorder for YOUR entertainment!!!

Steve, Shoes??? ya reckon I should bring a pair........I know, they go on my feet. Usually pack one soft suitcase with "civvies" and my hunting clothes in a Cabela's bag. Stayin' in a motel in Nebraska and at a nice Lodge in Wyoming, so creature-comforts are not excluded. The Focus is FULL when I go....

Glenn ( yeah, that 2n guy), you're just gonna have to drag 1n along one of these times (kickin' and screamin' for sure). Anxiously await the trip we get to meet!!!

Thanks guys, I have already made it through half of this work-week cool.gif

Bring it!!

bob - have a great trip and write it up for us when you get back. I'll probably go next weekend for a day and ahalf but my trips are much shorter. I only allow myself four guns tops.

My buddy from LA comes up here in a Vibe...marginally smaller than a Focus. He does store his table at the farm house but his car is loaded up when he arrives.
Tigger
ENJOY!!!
skb2706
Just in case anyone doubts that Bob actually gets all that in his Focus. I got a chance to see first hand yesterday and yes he does it. Ya gotta respect a guy that actually shoots pds with a 458 Lott.
His Focus is loaded with 95% gun and gun paraphenalia and 5 % other. Theres not enough room left in his car to change your mind let alone your shoes.
Hope you had a safe 600 mile trip home. Take care it was a pleasure to meet ya.
skypilotbc
Thanks Steve, and I want to say what a genuine pleasure it was to meet you (and all the others) at TR's place.
WOW!!! What a good time......and GOOD food, too biggrincamo.gif

Sorry guys, but, due to the weather (rain), the camcorder did not make it out of the car sad.gif

Here is a pic of the Elephant V-Max encountering a PD pup at 153 yards:
As I found him

Almost a perfect head-shot......PD pup is a small target in a 7 power scope.

The 22 Mag CCI 30 gr V-Max load was accurate, but not very destructive.
New McGowen barrel for the 204 worked well.......650 yards
6MMAI did its usual thing out to 1,100 or so.
Finally got the 22-250 out of the car and hit a bunch of 'em in the 450-700 yard range.
17 Mach IV Cooper got a real work-out. Remember, I forgot the ammo last year geekcamo.gif Somewhere around 250 less PD's in Wyoming.

Weather was a real problem (lost 1 day due to consistant rain and temps in the lower 40's)
Got some decent shooting in, but were not able to get to the Honey-Holes. Will have to re-think the plan for next year.

Bob (The guy that is thinking 585 Nyati for his next PD gun) okcamo.gif
Glen
There's more case than p-dog!! I LOVE IT!!! anim_rofl2.gif

Glad you had a safe trip & made it back with both arms still attached. How many did you give a LOTT to?? laugh.gif
skypilotbc
Took a few with that LIGHT 458 Win Mag load, but a total of 12 gott the Lott biggrincamo.gif

Shoulder is fine, but the windshield wipers on the Focus have about had it hurtcamo.gif

Still a wHOLE LOTT better than werK!!!

Now your talking!!! biggrin.gif
skb2706
Bob takes his doggin serious. I thought back when I'd break out the .300 win mag for a couple of dogs I was given 'em all they could stand. Then Bob comes along and he has to do it with a Lott. One ups menship at its finest. Glad you made it home ok.

Bob, It was nice you were able to make to TR"s and a pleasure to meet you. I like seeing the blown up picture of the Lott shells and the Pd version biggrincamo.gif .
skypilotbc
Lyle, It was truly my pleasure to meet you and all the others from PM. I look forward to seeing everyone there, again. Will be re-thinking my plans for next years PD shoot to include whatever happens to be going on with you guys coolcamo.gif

Take care, my friend!
