While loafing on another site, there was a thread about some guy ripping off forum members on several items he had for sale. He got hammered pretty hard and the cops got involved, etc. Most of the guys got some of their money back, yadda, yadda.
In the course of the thread, someone brought up the Charlie Wenzel episode, which I hadn't heard of, so I googled around, and found the link, and started reading.................................

SHAZAMM shockedcamo.gif shockedcamo.gif shockedcamo.gif ! those fellers didn't waste much time, and left no stones unturned (and didn't leave young charlie HIS stones, either!) If you've got the time for nearly 1400 posts on a POS thief and his recalcitrant ways, it's a really, really entertaining read. It's also a sad indictment of what happens when parents don't parent, but that's for the more philosophical than I am.

Off and on, it took me three days to read it all. I ALMOST felt sorry for the kid by the end of it, but then he'd open his yap and throw away all the sympathies I had for his plight. rolleyescamo.gif The photoshops and all the personal info they posted is quite scary, how they can find out all those things without leaving their chairs, etc. unsurecamo.gif

In any event, it's a cautionary note for anyone selling or buying anything on the Internet. Play right, or get played hard. tonguecamo.gif

Glenn, it's rather easy to find that sort of info. It is all public information and available to those who know how and where to look on the Internet. As for it going on for so long if he'd just done the right thing this would never have happened. I'd sure hate to be related to him.

The kid never said he was sorry for what he had done and continued to attack the buyer even after all was said and done. I think he got what he bargained for. Any normal person would never have cashed the check in the first place and then demanded more money. Then to not send the parts especially after his original claim that they were BRAND NEW when in fact they were used. He committed fraud and then proceeded to attack everyone including the buyer. The part about the unrelated individuals wanting to go and assault him should have been left out. But it sure turned into quiet the soap opera at 73 pages in length.

I really enjoyed the remark at the end from his former classmate.

I went to high school with Charlie (Class of '05). It disgust me how he is making San Luis Obispo look bad . I just wanted to make a few things clear; 1) He still lives at home with Mom and Dad 2) He never sold his truck, It has had a "For Sale" sign on the back window for over a year now, and its still parked in front of the Wenzel's House. 4) He doesn't own an Audi 5) His father bought him that truck and then he went into his College Savings to MOD it. When he ran out of money he wanted to sell it so he could by a cheaper car and have money for school. 5) He goes to Cuesta Community College 6) He is not the one who rolled the WRX STi that was a former classmate of ours (I believe he posted on here) 7) His job is washing/cleaning the Planes at the San Luis Obispo Airport 8) His girlfriend, Diane, is beautiful and doesn't realize he is the bigest DOUCHEBAG ever ....Anyways, word got around very fast to most of his classmates and we think this is the funniest ever! Better than any senior prank. Too bad this didn't happen before we graduated. One thing is for sure, Charlie wont ever change.
