I have a Ruger MK II that I have shot in a .22 pistol league for 24 years. It has at least 40,000 rounds through it. The chamber is getting worn out and I've been getting some blow-by showing up on the fired cases. Now I have to decide if I should get it re-barreled for about $300 (plus overnight air shipping for HUGE $$$$) or if I should try the receiver/barrel combination that Volquartsen sells for a little less than $300. Has anyone tried his conversion or know of anyone that has one? I have a few of his parts on my gun now and they seem to be well made. Some of my friends have used his trigger/sear/hammer kits and they do wonders for trigger pull.
