My new CZ 527 maple stock rifle in 223.

Fer a maple toothpick, that stock's not too shabby! It's actually got some figure to it, a rarity in maple. biggrincamo.gif

I've got a couple of 527s, both in walnut, that I'm seriously fond of, and I'll bet you'll be happy with that one, too. CZ makes a nice little rifle.

Don't let me get to you too much, I pick at Glen (One En) for his maple-stocked Remington, too. tonguecamo.gif I can remember one windy spring day out at Dad's farm, when the big old maple tree in the front yard let out a big crack and split right down the middle, dropping (luckily!) AWAY from the house. Never trusted maple after that............

Nice looking rig you got there!! Maybe one of these days Glen(2n's) will realize what you & I already know about Maple. biggrincamo.gif

You need to satisfy that curiousity, they are fine little rifles and awfully nice to shoot, the set trigger trumps anything but a custom job, too. I can heartily recommend the .221 Fireballs, I haven't heard of one that doesn't shoot well. That probably goes for all of them except the 7.62x39 carbines, and they shoot well for what they're chambered in.

Love my new 527 in .221 Fireball; it's been my "go to" close-to-medium range centerfire so far this groundhog season. Great-handling carry gun (feels like a rimfire) love that trigger, (even when I forget to use the "benchrest" option; no misses so far, even with just a temp. 3-9X scope.) Will never get a varmint rifle without a removable magazine again. You get used to the "backward" safety. Highly recommend these little C-Zs.
First good pic I've seen of one in maple. Looks nice!

I have a CZ 527 American in 223 and one 527 Varmint Barrel in 204 Ruger. Love them both. I tried the set trigger and the "regular" trigger is so nice I don't use the set trigger any more. I think you will enjoy yours.

no money right now... sad.gif or else i'd be shopping for one! just for fun though, i'd probably make it another .223 for me or a .22 mag (not even sure if they make a Mag or not...) how are there rimfire rifles?

Beautiful rifle LS. I have one in hornet that shoots great but it's not as nice as yours. Now post some RUINT pics! biggrincamo.gif

If you look around rimfirecentral, you'll see they are very popular and very good, OR, just check the rimfire section below, and find the same thing...
Really, they are quite nicely made, and shoot very well for the money involved. They usually need a little trigger tweaking, like most all factory rifles, but it's rare to hear about one stinking up the joint. Most of the folks I know, love them to death. And yes, they chamber all the rimfire stuff except the 5mm Remington Magnum, they were going to make those, too, but the economy has put that on hold for now.

Check out the whole line-up.

That is a nice piece of maple. I have two 527 Varmints in 204 with walnut furniture. One is so so but the other is a beautiful piece of wood. The rifles shoot way out of proportion for the price. I have Buckmaster SF scopes on mine. one 4.5 X 14 Mil Dot and the other is a 6X18 NikoPlex.

Sub 1/2 MOA is easy to produce with decent reloads.

I have two 527's. Wouldn't hesitate to buy another.

A Maple 221FB would be nifty.
