I guess it is available now. It is advertised at 2200 fps.

I was wondering, if it wouldn't be possible for a lead 28gr. WMR bullet also. Wouldn't that push the 22 mag to about 2400 fps?

Your thoughts?

Maybe: The Federal 30 grain will do 2300+ on a hot summer's day.~AMMOe

Has California outlawed the use of lead rimfire rounds? The 30gr VMax .22WMR is a great round. I've used it in my Winchester 9422M and had excellent results with it out to 100 yards. Anything over that with a rimfire I grab one of my .17HMRs.

Hi Shakey,

yeah, about a 25-30% of the state has been closed to any lead projectiles, with few exceptions (edible game). I just heard now that lead is also off limits in all shooting ranges adjacent to the ban area. Whatever that means. I think in time lead will be banned thru out the state. There is word that they intend to add codes to all ammunition that will be sold and used in the state. They want all previously, uncoded ammo to be disposed of. This new ammo will have extra tax of course in order to pay for the coding.

See then ... there is no gun control here! confusedcamo.gif

This state has already begun sliding into the sea.
