Awesome camo job! If you wouldn't mind, could you please describe the steps you took to achieve your success. I'm interested on redoing mine. And the way I know how to do it didn't look as nice as yours. Thanks in advance! Others might want to know as well.

Not to pee on your parade, but did you use a flat spray paint? It looks a little shiny. They make a spray paint called "bow-flauge" that has a flat finish, it's also removable with mineral spirits. This finish looks like this:

The reason why my rifle is shiny is because of the clear coat that was put on the gun to keep the paint from chiping. A buddy of mine actually camoed this rifle for me! He put a as primer coat olive green let that dry then he used brown, tan, and olive green to represent the foliage of the terrain I hunt in. After the olive green base coat, he used pine needles and oak leaves and sprayed on top of that to get the formation of the leaves and just mixed in colors to immitate mossy oak breakup, he did this all the way down the gun to achieve this pattern. After everything was finished he sprayed some clear coat on it to preserve the paint job.

my rifle turned out with a bit of a shine to it also. i kinda figured it would happen when i added the clear coat but i was still disappointed when it sparkled.

Beautiful camouflage job. Be proud. If it was any better you wouldn't be able to find it when you put your rifle down!
hunterotto91
agreed with Jim T. you should be proud to be the owner of a beautiful rifle!
RemingtonMan
Yea you bet JimT. Hopefully I can get some picts of some coyotes laying next to rifle when I come back from coyote hunting this weekend! Going down on a 500acre farm to try and pick some yotes off, they are everywhere where I am going!
JimT.
Remington Man, absolutely! Show us the photos. It's perfect albeit the missing coyote(s). Again, it's perfect. Be proud. I would be thrilled to be the owner of that outfit. Now get out there and take care of business and show us the photos! Awesome setup.
