I never quit mowing down here Glen. When the centipede goes dormant, Diane makes me sow winter rye to make sure I have something to do all winter We normally get about two days of Spring here in the Sandhills and then the heat is turned up full summer blast. I miss the good old four seasons of Ohio, even the snow...did I really just say that

I did my first cut last week. Not that the lawn didn't need cutting earlier, but I started getting embarrassed whenever I heard someone's mower running.
We've been getting a lot of rain around here, and needing it. Last summer was really dry and winter was dry, too, even if it was colder than usual.

My idea of Lawn-Mowing is 2 gallons of Round-up and 4 gallons of green paint.........applied as needed

I have stopped putting fertilizer on my lawn to cut down on the time I must spend in the lawn. That means more time for shooting!

My lawn mower is automatic. When I get home from work, the grass has already been cut, and I get to claim my lawn mower as a dependant at tax time. It's a pretty sweet deal really

The grass has started to green up here in Minnesota. It hasn't grown much yet. Probably because yesterday morning it was 32 degrees when I got up. I rode the motorcycle to work anyway. It was a little cold on the face, but once it was completely numb, it was just fine! Anybody know what the wind-chill is for 32 degrees at 80 miles an hour???

Yeah. Mostly it's the old guy with the riding mower; he's on that thing all the time. I just couldn't take it anymore.

My Wife's neighbors mow every Saturday no matter how high the grass is. The fertilize twice a year. They run those Cub Cadets as fast as they will go because they hate to mow. So I always wait 2 days to mow my yard after them. Once their combed over yard stands back up two days later you can see where I mowed nice & neat & their yard looks like crap again!! I call it their grass curb!!

Cold with rain here. Can't even get my bee's to fly. All that stuff about mowing the lawn. You can have it. I'd rather be catching carp with a fly rod.
