Turned on the idiot box this afternoon, and there was one of those travelogue shows on the tube. The host/TV clown was in the Dakotas, vacationing in the TR National Park, and then into the Black Hills and Badlands of South Dakota.
It was, of course, all pictures of scenery and vistas that just break my cojones, he spent a LOT of time at Custer State Park in the Black Hills, and was hard to watch, he was really enjoying himself with all the critters and scenery to look at. And yes, there were prairie dogs suspiciouscamo.gif ...........

With all the financial turmoil going on this year, I can't afford to go up that way, and I REALLY want to go back again, even if I don't shoot at PDs. I really liked the Black Hills and the Badlands were okay, too. I'd cry, but that wouldn't do any good. contentcamo.gif

Oh well, I guess it'll make the next trip up that way that much better, but damn, it was painful to watch someone else having the fun and me stuck in Kaintuck. I love those wide open spaces.........

I always liked traveling west when I drove over the road. Loved Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, and Colorado.

Glenn,
I'm heading that way in June. It's only around 450 to 500 miles for me though. I'll post some pictures when I return. smilecamo.gif

Gee, thanks for rubbing it in contentcamo.gif While I'll gladly look at any photos of dead critters, it won't make me feel much better. I have plenty of dead critter pics of my own to make it painful and hurtfull.

If you'll excuse me for a minute, I have to go cry for a spell. eyebrowcamo.gif

Glenn, that's why they sell DVDs in high definition and call it Planet Earth so we can take our trips from our living room and not miss a beat. Well, kinda not miss a beat. I share your pain.

This week's episode, traveling through Missouri and Kansas contentcamo.gif . Okay, I know Missouri pretty well, having grown up there, but then the guy goes trotting through Kansas, and naturally, he stops at Prairie Dog State Park whatthecamo.gif whatthecamo.gif whatthecamo.gif They were playing the chirps before showing any of the ratholes, and yes, I knew exactly what was coming up. Rotten no-account lowlife Chicago travelweasels........................................... I guess I'll just have to quit watching that show, it's killin' me...........
