I wanted one of these for years. Just that I never had the xtra money when I saw one available, or it never was a priority I guess. I just bought an older wood gripped model that seems to be mostly unused other than a superficial mark on one of the grip panels. I'd rather have the scratched wood than the plastic grips anyway. 72 hour waiting period sucks

I'm anxious to shoot it.

My wifes grampa gifted one to me along with his collection of other handguns, he's 92 and figured he wouldn't be shooting them anytime soon. Excellent and well made guns but mine is a 25 and not a 22 lr.
You need to post a picture cause I want to see the woods grips, mine are plastic.
sweet little clip on leather holster for it too.
does you gun have a purple hue to the grip frame ? This one does .......

72 hour wait on handguns + the gunshop is closed on Mondays. I'll pick it up tomorrow and get a picture. It's cute as a bug's ear.

Any idea what the vintage. I have the paperwork that grampa got with this one ....new in 1986. Plastic grip panels and obviously not blued frame. I am thinking mine might be an alloy frame of some type because of the "bluing".
I am impressed with how well made they are. If you consider guns of similar size and chamberings...ie Jennings, Ravens etc that are basically small POS guns. Mine has the best frame to slide fit of any semiauto handgun I've ever seen.

I've looked through the paperwork and haven't seen any info on the vintage. I agree they are better made than most other pocket sub-compacts you see. I'm impressed with the quality. Although, the trigger is quite heavy. I may have to see if it can be improved just a little.
Right now I'm looking for a Weaver scope base and bi-pod adapter for those long range prairie dogs

Red: Nice! I gave my daughter one when she was 14 years old and she still has it for a defense gun.
Beware of "Interceptor" class ammo in that 21: It's not rated for it. There is a blurb in the owner's manual of my daughters about using "hyper Velocity" ammo and the guys at Beretta I talked to at the SHOT show are not good with it either. A group of policemen came up to the Aguila booth marveling that out of their 21A's, Aguila's "Super Maximum" punched 38 caliber holes in target backers from 7 yards. It was explained to them that it was caused by the bullet base being upset as the bullet left the barrel: Much like a civil war "minie" bullet blows the skirt outwards with too heavy a powder charge. They were also lectured on the 21's ammo limitations and cautioned that any damage to the gun from the use of Hyper Velocity ammo would be on their heads.
Just an FYI. ~AMMOe

Thanks for the warning. I'm hoping for a range trip tomorrow. I'll take some milder 40g Aguila HP ammo to try.
My daughter likes this one too. I may end up having to buy her one.

I paid the local trading post $129 for mine (The tag is still on the box) with an extra magazine. The Aguila 40 grn HP work great. The amazing thing is how accurate they are. I was hitting paint balls with mine/hers a summer or so back.~AMMOe

LOL
It's crazy here in the land of "O"
Anywho, I got to the range. I'm no great pistol shot by any stretch, but all the bullets hit something when they came out.
