Thought I'd put together some loads for the .204 but got side tracked, kinda. Worked up fifty winchester cases then weigh them. The heaviest came out at 96.1 grs. the lightest 95.3 grs. That's 0.8 grs between them. Then I started on the primers. Remmington 7 1/2s. Out of one hundred, 84 weigh 3.5 grs. 14, came in at 3.4 grs. and 2 weigh in at 3.6 grs. Next the bullets. Sierra 39gr. BKs. Out of one hundred weigh. 79 weigh 39.1 grs., 15 leveled the scale at 39.0 grs. 4 hit 39.2 and 2 tipped the scale at 39.3 grs. I was using a RCBS digital scale. Just thought I'd share it was fun for a rainy day.

I assume you matched all the identical components. If so, tell us how they shoot, compared to identical loads with components that are not weighed.

Yeah, I did and I will. We have some bad weather coming in. I"ll have to wait. That four letter word SNOW.

Interesting.

I have done the same thing from time to time. It's interesting how close some componants can be and some really far off.

I was weighing out some Super Mag brass the other day and got two very distinct groups with a 16 grain difference in 92 cases;

54 @ roughly 157 grains

38 @ roughly 141 grains

Must have been made on different days.......... shockedcamo.gif
