After spending the better part of the last 4 years in a custom case under my son's bed, my 16 year old BRNO zkm 611 22 magnum autoloader saw some range time today while I was testing some ammo. What a peach of a gun! The heavy, under-hung bolt caused the rifle to simply shudder when the bolt cycled: The sights never moved from the target. Kick butt wood, mile deep bluing, and silky operation; what more could you want?? I haven't seen these rifles around lately but if you happen across one at a "reasonable" price, you might want to give it a run. Whew! I might have to take this one out more often.~AMMOe

I've never fired one. They seem to go for fairly high dollar when you run across one.

A few weeks ago I discovered that CZ is planning to reintroduce a 511 type of 22LR auto. Apparently it will be of the same sort of design but with some changes. I look forward to seeing these.

Gad! Me too! I missed out on the 511's. ~AMMOe

Not knowing...I'm betting the new improved version features a stock design more like the 452 American with a higher comb. I hope it doesn't go the way of the 5mm CZ.

That would be interesting. I am going to pull the scope off of my Brno#2 sporter and stick it on the ZKM 611 jut to see how it shoots with glass on board. I know one of the reasons I've steered away from doing so in the past is the severe Euro Slouch the wood takes from the comb rearward. Makes for great iron sight usage but leaves the head needing to be held almost vertical off of the stock for even a conservative scope.~AMMOe
