It's been a tough few days. The boss has me engaged in Spring cleaning screamcamo.gif She told me it would be a tough couple of weeks and that was two weeks ago...with plenty left to do blink.gif I pressure washed the garage and well house today and the house starts tomorrow. In the middle of all this fun...what do I see? Why it's the mail lady delivering mail and that means theirs a package that won't fit in the box a quarter mile away. Lots of Diane's stuff gets delivered this way...new stuff for the house to try out, etc, etc...But I am usually not expecting anything myself. And then I see her pull a "Long Box" out from her back car seat wink.gif ...Oh Yea...It's my turn today!

Thanks to many on the forum here for being a part of my decision making. I was seriously thinking about a Discovery, but also had 'springer' on my mind as well. I wanted something more powerful and especially more accurate than my 1960's vintage Sheridan. I recieved quite a few PM's and discussed all the air gun stuff and then made my decision....It would be a one pump shooter. I knew there was some compromising I would miss by not getting a PCP...But, I decided to have my own power supply always on hand and not worry about pumps, tanks, etc. When I saw this Beeman RX2 gas ram on the yellow classified I called the guy and we came up with a price I could not refuse. She's a real beauty in .20 caliber

I tried the few different pellet types I had so was both learning the gun along with the pellets...Yes...Spring cleaning got put on hold immediately laugh.gif I found the Beeman extra heavy Kodiaks to be good shooters and the silver arrows, Crossman of some sort and sheridan to be not so good. Once I got the feel for the tigger, I could see this would be interesting. The trigger kind of reminds me of a Savage accu trigger...real soft at first, then meets resistance and then fires. Here's my results at 25 yards and a 7 shot group. The guy I bought this from says he has the best results with Beeman field pellets. It will be lots of fun trying the different pellets out.

Great shooting. That's a beautiful rifle you have there.

I had an identical rifle several years ago and like an idiot, sold it. That gun really thumps'em hard. It will keep your upper body in shape too as I remember.

Sweet!! cool.gif

Thanks guys...It's a fun gun for sure.

And with my old sheridan I was always putting 8-10 pumps in for each shot, but the extra work out with the RX2 and each and every shot is just a side benefit wink.gif

....Thanks Red...Yep, over on the yellow classifieds. That is a real busy place with some pretty cool deals. Lots of all kinds of air guns going. This guy wanted quick cash to get into the PCP's and his wife wasn't going for this gun hanging out laugh.gif I picked up the whole package you see for a couldn't refuse offer which included 2 day air delivery which cost him $41 bucks. That dude really wanted a PCP in a bad way, which resulted in a great deal for me biggrincamo.gif

Here's the yellow forum classifieds Mike is speaking of. Check out the forums as well. There is a ton of info over there.

It deserves it twice: NICE GUN!

I see. Thanks wink.gif

That is a nice gun. I have had ideas about getting a PCP one of these days, but always end up gravitating back to a Springer. Something liberating about a springer when spending the day popping ground squirrels. I however have always preferred a .22. Good shooting by the way.

"I however have always preferred a .22"..I was also preferring a .22 cal Shakey , but when this popped up with the extras at a great price, I weighed it all out...and then went for the .20 Cal I'm happy with this shooter....until some sort of .25 shows up at the right price laugh.gif
