Not to be a smart....uh....fellow, but did you ever see an Anschutz match rifle with a muzzle brake? wink.gif I have been the route with muzzle brakes: I have bought them and built them: Never saw an improvement in accuracy. How does your rifle shoot now, without the brake?? ~AMMOe

i can get a group to fit into a nickle at 30yds with remington hps another reason i want to get it is it will help protect the crown from being nicked up i am not using this gun for competion im using it for stray cats and squirrels

IMO the money would be better spent on improving the trigger and bedding, or possibly just buying a variety of ammo to test.

A muzzle brake on a .22? A waste of good money IMHO. +1 on putting your dollars toward an improved trigger.

the only thing I know a muzzle brake to be good for is recoil, but the down fall is it makes the rifle louder for the shooter that's why I don't like them. Try looking at rimfiresports.com they have them cheaper and there prices includes shipping. Another place to look is volquartsen.com they make a lot of match grade muzzle brakes for 10/22. also try some better ammo CCI, aguila, or eley shoot very well and don't cost to much I have found the remington 22 bullets shoot a 1" high then low because the powder charge is not the same if you shoot them real fast you will hear SNAP, CRACK, POP they just don't shoot the same, so you will never get a good group with them.
Just food for thought
