I have a Winchester Model 70 SuperGrade 7mm and need to detrmine the approximate manufacture date. Any ideas on serial numbers for rifles manufactured in certain time periods? I figure there must be some of you Winchester buffs and gun gurus who would know. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

I'm no Win. buff, but I keep a BLUE BOOK pretty close by. It does not go into any detail using SN's, but more into the gun's appearence an option's. Marking's, w or w/o sight's, pad, mag type, claw extracter even if there is black tip on the forearm. A lot of way's to go. With what little info you give, this is what I came up with.

90' to 95"

With more info these dates may not be accurate. It was introduced in 90' an could exceed into 2000+. Need more detail of the gun to get a better idea.
