We've had close to 10" in January. Plus a 1/4" of ice.

We got about 8" total here on Wednesday. We went down south Friday night thinking that they had gotten only ice which I figured would most likely have been melted by the time we got there. Turned out the "ice only" areas were a few more miles south. We ended up in an area that had 3" of ice with 6"-8" of snow on top. Got the camper stuck on Friday night and slept right in the middle of the gravel road. We ended up more or less stuck for two days. Managed to get the camper off the road on Sat morning although we never did actually made it to the campground. With warming temps were able to barely get it back out to the highway on Sunday. Didn't get to hunt as much as we wanted...it was fun though...the best company, plenty of food, heat, and Captain Morgan was there too!!

I thought Flatlander might want to restore that truck Looks like it's been in that ditch since the 50's or 60's.

Sounds like it was a fun couple days down there. We're staying in a hotel so I'm not too concerned about getting a camper stuck. I hope we have as much fun as you guys did.

I'm so jealous! i wish we had some fresh snow! we have an inch or so of the hard crusty stuff now. too noisy for sneaking in on coyotes right now!!! i'm praying for two feet and fifteen degrees for a week or so...

ours is crusty now too. No way you can hunt in this stuff. But...4 or 5 days of 50+ degree weather is predicted so it should all be gone soon and I won't miss the cold.

Looks nice Red. We have had two "snowfalls" down here this year...one of them being two days ago. each time we got around 3 inches. Wet and heavy stuff looking good hanging all over the pines. But looks even better when it's gone Starting a warm up today with 65 on Saturday...and 70 on Sunday and a brand new fairly large tract of land to hunt...WoooHooo

great pics! love that old farm country. everywhere you look here there's a house...... many of them are empty.

pretty much the same here too now, it sucks. That particular area is a WMA and in a flood plain.
