This I could see was going to be fun. I grabbed my gear yelled at the wife I was leaving and off we go. I went to a place that I have had many encounter's with coyote's howling at me in the night time but never coming into the call. We got the about 4:30 by the time we walked to the set it was 5:00.
I couldn't belive all the fresh track's in the snow Fox, Coyote, and one Cat track. Well I got into a bunch of trees over looking a big valley. My partner set the call out and sat 50 yrd's up wind of me. What happend in the next 2 min made my heart pound. The sound of a dying rabbit for the Fox Pro that he finaly got to work was sounding good. I made a look around and seen this big coyote coming from about 500 yrds out. Came off a big point with the sun shining on it was beutiful. The dog got to about 250 yrds and cut back into the wood's I thought it was gone. Well it step back into the edge of the feild at 130 yrd's and just sat down. I took a good rest and let the little 17 gr bullet fly. Couldn't belive it when she fell right off her feet. It was realy neat to beable to see it come to the call. I am hooked on the day time calling.
