In these hard times, it seems that the 22lr will be king because of the price of ammo. With that in mind, I was thinking about some things I would like to see in the coming years. The two guns I would buy in a heart bet would be a factory Ruger #1 in 22lr and a Ruger 77/22 pistol on the grounds like the Charger. What are some of the guns you would like to see in rimfire?

How about a true mauser action rimfire.

Mauser did make some darned fine sporters back before WWII. I have owned them. You can still find them around.
For myself, I'd like to see a scaled down double rifle in 22WMR with a 1-12" twist and 70 yard regulated barrels. Beyond that, I can't think of a rimfire that could be made which hasn't been made already! ~AMMOe

A decent looking affortable rifle. Affortable meaning that any working man could go and buy one without hurting the family income. One that does not look like it was made by a beaver and a 3 year old in some far off asian country (China?)
By the way I'm the new guy. been lurking for a while.

I wouldn't mind seeing a 5mm barrel for the New England Firearms single shot. I love the interchangeability and tweakability of the handi-rifles. I'm having a blast with mine. The rimfires are sooooooooooooooo cheap and accurate. A 5mm would be a very very affordable yet useful larger varmint getter. Did I say I love tinkering with them? I really love it.

Have posted this one previously, but think it would be the ultimate defense weapon for when the PDs charge enmasse'

As I once said, I used to sell Tippman guns like that one. They are a hoot.~AMMOe

Oh, forgot! I would also love to see Kimber put out the SVT or Varmint again. Missed my chance when they were in production.

I have to agree on the 77/22 in the charger class of handguns. The Charger is illeagle here in communist NY.
