Last Sunday went dog hunting at the Colorado river. First Stand called but no takers, went to a second stand and used two coyote howls, then waited 7 minutes then went into a coyote distress call. A big male appeared about 500 yards out to see what was going on. He kept coming in and stopped atop the river bank at 230 yards. He would not come in ant further and would not turn broad-side, all i had was a breast shot and dropped him dead in his tracks. I took him with a Howa 22-250. Dog weighed in around 30-35 pounds, good size dog.
