With the administration change just around the corner, the knothead environMENTALists are up to their old tricks in trying to get prairie dogs listed on the Endangered Species list. The Klintoonistas had tried and failed to get that done, and with Bush in office, the whackjobs knew they had no chances, but with the Obamination set to take over, they've come out of the woodwork again. rolleyescamo.gif

Despite the monetary concerns I have this upcoming PD season, I might have to make the journey back to the PD patches anyway, just to show them how much I care...............about killing PDs!

The federal deficit is at a record high of over $10 trillion dollars.

Sooner or latter “we the people” will bare that burden out of our pockets.

You will be lucky to have enough extra to go shoot P-Dogs.

I do not view our government as Republican vs. Democrat. It’s not a football game of two teams…….. it’s one team . Those in office whom think otherwise should be terminated immediately. “Democrats are this” and “Republicans are that” are politics we the people should not stand for. It’s one nation under God.

Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld have been deceitful to the Americans they serve.

It’s “one nation under God” not Republicans vs. Democrats under God.

Simply stating facts, Bill, nothing more or less. The whackjobs DID try, during the Clinton years, to list the PDs as endangered, that's a fact. During the Bush years, they knew Bush wouldn't accept their silliness, so they cooled their jets, that's a fact, also.
With the Obama crew getting ready to take over, they've come out of the woodwork and are trying again to get the PDs listed as endangered. Another fact.

It's not one team and it never has been, not in any free country.

Wherever people have the right to voice their opinions, they form like-minded groups; socially, professionally, and politically. The places that have one political party are usually dictatorships or some form of communist regime (which usually boils down to a dictatorship anyway).

If we had Democrat John Kerry instead of Republican George Bush in the White House when Chief Justice Rehnquist and Associate Justice O'Connor retired, they would have been replaced with two liberals who care not a whit about the Constitution. With two more liberals on the Supreme Court, the second amendment would have been erased last summer.

Politics might be terribly boring if you are not interested in it, but it's a full-contact sport and always will be.

Good points DH and I'll add that I thank God that President Bush was in charge...and not John Kerry during and after 9/11. It's easy to blame the current deficit and money woes on the current administration, but this monster has been created by several administrations and has been brewing for decades. It's just begun to rear it's ugly head. There are many causes that can be spoke of, but two underlying problems are generations of people that refuse to be responsible with credit and government pushing the idea of owning a home is the American dream and pushing ridiculous lending policies that could do nothing but fail. That's a lethal combination.

> RUSSIAN ANALYST PREDICTS DECLINE AND BREAKUP OF USA

>> The DrudgeReport
>>
>> A leading Russian political analyst has said the economic turmoil in
>> the United States has confirmed his long-held view that the country
>> is heading for collapse, and will divide into separate parts.
>>
>> Professor Igor Panarin said in an interview with the respected daily
>> IZVESTIA published on Monday: "The dollar is not secured by anything.
>> The country's foreign debt has grown like an avalanche, even though
>> in the early 1980s there was no debt. By 1998, when I first made my
>> prediction, it had exceeded $2 trillion. Now it is more than 11
>> trillion. This is a pyramid that can only collapse."
>>
>> The paper said Panarin's dire predictions for the U.S. economy,
>> initially made at an international conference in Australia 10 years
>> ago at a time when the economy appeared strong, have been given more
>> credence by this year's events.
>>
>> When asked when the U.S. economy would collapse, Panarin said: "It is
>> already collapsing. Due to the financial crisis, three of the largest
>> and oldest five banks on Wall Street have already ceased to exist,
>> and two are barely surviving. Their losses are the biggest in
>> history. Now what we will see is a change in the regulatory system on
>> a global financial scale: America will no longer be the world's
>> financial regulator."
>>
>> When asked who would replace the U.S. in regulating world markets, he
>> said: "Two countries could assume this role: China, with its vast
>> reserves, and Russia, which could play the role of a regulator in
>> Eurasia."
>>
>> Asked why he expected the U.S. to break up into separate parts, he
>> said: "A whole range of reasons. Firstly, the financial problems in
>> the U.S. will get worse. Millions of citizens there have lost their
>> savings. Prices and unemployment are on the rise. General Motors and
>> Ford are on the verge of collapse, and this means that whole cities
>> will be left without work. Governors are already insistently
>> demanding money from the federal center. Dissatisfaction is growing,
>> and at the moment it is only being held back by the elections and the
>> hope that Obama can work miracles. But by spring, it will be clear
>> that there are no miracles."
>>
>> He also cited the "vulnerable political setup", "lack of unified
>> national laws", and "divisions among the elite, which have become
>> clear in these crisis conditions."
>>
>> He predicted that the U.S. will break up into six parts - the Pacific
>> coast, with its growing Chinese population; the South, with its
>> Hispanics; Texas, where independence movements are on the rise; the
>> Atlantic coast, with its distinct and separate mentality; five of the
>> poorer central states with their large Native American populations;
>> and the northern states, where the influence from Canada is strong.
>>
>> He even suggested that "we could claim Alaska - it was only granted
>> on lease, after all." Panarin, 60, is a professor at the Diplomatic
>> Academy of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and has authored
