I am getting ready to give deer hunting a break and head out into the woods for some yotes. Does any one have any suggestions for the best time to start calling in the morning and will the coyotes be responsive to the calls right now at the end of NOV. It seems like every time ive been out hunting I never manage to call anything in? It gets aggrevating.

Coyotes are most active at sunrise or sunset for daylight hunting. They will respond to a distress call year round unless they have been called before and are condidioned to the call.

In Ohio you can set up using the fact that they don't like to cross big open fields and this can keep one from getting down wind from you. An open field to your back, wind in your face or cross wind with something behind you to break up you silhouette like a bush or tree is an example of a good set up. They are based in Alabama but they are hunting Ohio type terrain. HTH
