I swore that I would curtail my "discretionary" spending but I went into a Billings gun shop and they had a stainless, fluted, 10/22 Magnum bull barrel by Green Mountain with a $40 price tag on it. The shop owner said he'd have asked more but the barrel only fit 10/22M's and Volquartsen guns. I paid him for the barrel and reminded him that this barrel will also fit the 96/22 and 96/17M's as well. I think that caught him a bit off guard.

Now... I have a 96/22 stock hogged out for a bull barrel someplace but do I want to pull my Green Mountain octagonal 22WMR barrel off of my 96/22M?? ~AMMOe

good find to bad I had a 20"blue 10/22mag sitting around my place till last week. I could have shipped it out to you.
