How cool is that!!!

It reminds me of the vehicles we use to drive and hot rod.

Laugh if you will but the best riding most comfortable car I ever had was an AMC Pacer. Still wish I had it. freakedcamo.gif

Here's my old hot rod,

HA! Before the race I made one of my undergrads put he numbers on. I specifically said,"Make them look nice. We're going to have enough cold shoulders driving this thing at this event (british and german car guys, mostly). So a certain Ms. Wickenhauser proceded to tape on the numbers while the rest of us set up the pits. I took at pic of her putting the numbers on but those pics are still missing in action. I got a big applause when I made it to the top of the hill the first run. Afterwards one of the officials said it was his favorite at the event. What I learned is that racing through the curves is really really hard to do well and good breaking points can win the race.

So the trans shelled itself on the way back home during thanksgiving and it's back in the shop. Going to strip it down the the shell; seem weld it and redue the interior (with NEW black crushed velvet - LOL). Going to build it up for a more roadracing approach. Not sure yet but thinking a dohc 4.6 and manual (maybe a 1uz-fe, just to p-off the purists); maybe a quickchange with a watts linkage out back. Something to put the shivers into some unsuspecting 355 driver on the track biggrin.gif

Red you seriously got to build another something.
Red
mine's already finished.

maybe one of these after I retire and have the time?

flatlander
you went from a 327, 4-gear Vega to a rc monster truck? Look at me. No no, look at me. wink.gif you know what you got to do.

I GOT a 4 door chevy II parts car for ya! (Well I don't GOT it, per say, but I know the abandonned grove it's in!)

The smoker-ator always has some rabbit in it and the shop always has cold HAMM'S and good tunes whenever you're ready!

Oh no! You got a T-Maxx too?! Jeez, I love those things! I had a crazy setup race truck that I unforunately sold to fix my old LT250R, and got another T-Maxx in parts that will run again someday!

Is it a Pro .15 or a 2.5, or one of the crazy new ones?

That brings back so many memories of nitro and two-stroke oil, and gears, and shocks, and servos, and shattered transmissions and all that fun stuff! Jeez now that I think about it thats probably whats causing me to build up a big truck haha! Thanks for the pic Mike, that made my night! cool.gif
Red
Was a 2.5, I converted it to 3.3. Got it runnin like a striped ape and my boy was jealous that mine was faster than his. biggrin.gif Actually scary fast! Pretty quick the newness was gone for me so I gave it to him and I sold his to fund some gun project. He promptly blew the transmission out of it. So we got another newer style transmission....royal pain to do all the mods to get it in there, drive shafts, shimming, slotting, the whole bit. But it's supposed to be able to stand up to the 3.3 and so far it has. Unfortunately it's not quite as fast with the new transmission. More mods could probably be made to restore it to it's full potential, it's just been on the back burner. And it still pulls the front wheels, just not quite as snappy about it.

new diggers for the varmint rigger cool.gif

SAWEEET!!! biggrincamo.gif

Anybody hear anything about Ford's F-150 Raptor? If so, what about Toyota's answer to the Raptor?
valvesinmyhead
Flatlander get rid of those traction bars and build ya a 3rd link.
Tigger
They look alot like the second style of the Daytona radial stag tires I use to run on my diesel F250. The first original design was awesome and would wear a long time. I think that's why they redesigned them. They were just as good on traction, but about half the milage.
Chuckbuster
WoW, you guys crack me up! I have a TMaxx 3.3 with an ofna picco .26 in it. It loves to break the drivetrain. AL
