Well, before my wife changed her mind I went ahead an ordered my Discovery. I talk to Tim at Mac1 for about 20 minutes and ordered the gun and a few things to make my airgun life easier. He happened to have a .22 in stock so he said he'd get right to it and get it out. I can't wait to get it and try it out. Since I have tanks I didn't need a pump but I bought a good number of Foster fittings to make filling my different guns easier. :signs1242cn:

you'll probably get yours before mine gets here!....according to UPS, it's still in CA.
I'm getting impatient.
Good Deal ShooterJohn!
The more people that have them is more people who have brains for me to pick about them.

Ron, I'll let you know when it ships or gets here. Looks like Eric will have to wait on his as i got the last one he had.

Did you get fittings for your new tank and all? I got carried away and bought all sorts of Foster fittings for my other guns too. Then I was going to use some mounts from another airgun but ended up buying new ones. Then since I'm addicted to mildot scopes I started shopping around and bought 3 new ones.

So next a shroud and I should be all set for my new truck gun. It will be nice to have a knock around gun that doesn't cost an arm and a leg that I would damage carrying that way. Plus I only need one shot at a time right? Not like my AA410ERBSL repeater of my semi-auto FX Monsoon.

I'm hoping I have everything I need.
JSB pellets are here, waiting on scope and mounts. I bought the K Valve hose assm from Tim too. He said it has a foster end to fit the Disco. The scope I bought is a mil dot as well.
MY scuba tank will be visually inspected today and I pick it up at 4:30, filled with air.
I have RWS airgun bore cleaner, and bought some .22 cleaning pellets (made of cotton) this weekend.
I'm not sure if my carbon .22 cal. Dewy rod will fit the Disco or not to clean the bore better.
Any tips on what to use?
I have Sweets, Butch's bore shine, CLP, Krolls, etc. pretty much any kind of borecleaner for powder burners, and bags of patches.
I do want a shroud too, although I really like the look of the Disco's with the high rise breech and full carbon shroud...maybe a project down the road a bit.
A friend called me this morning and said he was clearing an atv trail through his woods and there were so many birds that it was driving him crazy...I know where I will be Saturday morning!

I don't like or use the felt pellets. They're ok in a PCP but very bad for springers as you can damage a spring due to not having enough back pressure on them to protect the spring. I use and recommend a pull through bore cleaner like the Otis setups. They work terrific and are safe so that you won't damage your barrels crown because you pull it straight through. I don't recommend powder burning bore cleaners as the high pressure air from an airgun can detonate volatile chemicals. A Springer can diesel from just oil so I just use a couple of drops of Beeman oil on a patch and pull it through my barrels occasionally. Your RWS cleaner should be fine but use it very sparingly. If you get some pellet lube like Napier you won't be cleaning hardly ever and your accuracy will improve as well. Glad to hear your tank will be home today. Remember turn the valve very slowly when filling and slow is best.

It's a great all around gun for the buck.
R7 are you closer to Dayton or WV?
I think the Disco. will be great for the upcoming rabbit season.

I can't wait to have an airgun I'm not afraid to scratch up and can leave by the backdoor like my old Sheridan.

Got the Discovery out of the box and it's a little short of me stock wise, I'll need a thicker butt plate. Should be fine for Eric.

Mine was waiting on me when I got home today.
I got home and was out in the barn playing with it from 5pm until 9pm tonight.
So far I absolutely love it!

I took a couple of quick pictures before it got too dark tonight. This isn't the scope I want on the gun but until they arrive on Monday it will have to do.

Great Pictures ShooterJohn!!
You haven't said if you have shot it yet???
Isn't it blasphemy to get a new rifle and have it 24 hours and haven't shot it yet?

I fired it a couple of times but I was hoping to shoot it open sights but it didn't come with a rear sight.

Mine came with a rear sight..it lasted all of about 45 seconds before it went into a box on the bench.
Might want to ask Tim about it.
