This clip is from July's prairie dog shoot in Wyoming. In the dog towns, it's not a question of if it's going to be windy, but just how windy will it be. This guy is out there at 62 yards, and the wind is coming from right to left. Watch how quickly the dust that blows off of him at pellet impact, dissipates in the wind. A dog town is a great place to hone your wind doping skills. Out at 80 yards, I was holding as much as two mildots into the wind on some shots.

I was shooting my FX 2000 .22 cal. PCP using JSB Exact 16 grain Jumbos. Here's a pic. of the rig complete with camera mounted.

Hey Rldgcntr,
Good shooting! I have been poking around the web looking at air rifles. The FX guns dont seem to really be avaliable too often? What is going on there? I remember you or another PCP expert on here saying that they produce rifles for vrious companies to sell as their own. Which ones do it?
Thanks,
Jerry
Good job out there in that wind!

At one time they were making guns for Logun, RWS, and Webley that I know of. Several variations of the FX 2000 were also available from different distributors here in the U.S., but since they have gone to a single importer here, (Airguns of Arizona) they don't seem to be doing much of that anymore.
They are allegedly coming out with a new line of sidelever PCP's sometime next year.
If you can find a Webley FX 2000, an FX Tarantuala or Black Widow, or an FX 2000, they are all essentially the same gun with a variety of different stocks on them, and some have barrel shrouds, and some don't. RWS also sold a version of the FX 2000, but at the moment I can't remember what they called it.
I will probably grab another one at some point. They are amazingly accurate, and have enough power to kill ground squirrels, cotton tails, and prairie dogs at 100+ yards. On the used market they usually go for between $550 and $700 dollars.

Find one for me too Cliff. I can't seem to locate any.

I know John. They don't come available very often and when they do they don't last very long. I keep watching the Yellow Classifieds and by the time I see one is for sale, it's already sold.

Hey thanks for the info. I wasnt sure what was going on, if they were out of production or what. Are all of their rifles that hard to buy? Do they have a large following in Europe, more than here in the States?

Airgunning is HUGE in Europe in comparison to the USA. The long history of restrictions and difficulty in owning powder burners in Europe has driven people to airguns.
The current models from FX are available from Airguns of Arizona here:

The FX line of airguns is awesome. I believe I'm going to get an FX Whisper next. But I love my FX Monsoon.
