I was just permitted into this fine forum, I am new to hunting (shiny new hunting license and CZ 452 Varmint in 22 LR) and thought I'd ask for a little advice. As a transplant from Maryland to Orange County CA I don't know a lot of people around, and none are hunters. I've been reading through the Fish & Game site for CA to determine where to hunt cottontails in the area, but it is not entirely helpful, also tried asking at Grant's in NB but no luck. Any thoughts? I'll drive as far as Big Bear. Thanks!

Welcome to the forum. I'm not familiar with your area, but I'm sure folks will jump in soon.

Sorry I didnt see this before. I grew up in Orange County. What you need to do is get maps of SoCal that show all the BLM land there are lots of places up in the Cleveland National forest that are loaded with bunnys also some great coyote and ground squirrel spots also.
