Ever since we had a steel standing seam roof installed on our horse stalls the pigeons have started showing up. Of course they make a mess and it will shorten the metal roofs life. The problem is trying to get near them without them flying off. Of course you get the dumb ones, but once in awhile you get a lookout that signals everyone. Today I got that stool pigeon. He and I have been playing tag for some time now. The minute he saw me he did his pigeon alert and most if not all took to the air. Well today I got the drop on him. It was a long shot measured with my Leica 1200 rangefinder at 104 yards. My Air Arms 410ERB made it an easy shot. The problem was I'm used to letting them flop off of the roof, but this guy took it in the chest and died on the spot. I hate climbing on roofs.

That's a good thing....let him lay. His buddies will think everything is cool

Nice shot

I don't know why those birds never landed on my old rolled roofing. But I get this new standing seam no leak guaranteed for 50 year steel roof and it attracts them like a magnet.

Good shooting.
What muzzle velocity do you get from that gun?

It's adjustable for power and I have it turned up. Getting around 960 fps at the moment.

Hey ShooterJohn,
How much did that rifle cost you?
I'm new to the exotics of air rifle hunting and the rifles you folks have are incredible.
Thanks Longboard.
p.s. Nice Kill

Hi Longboard,
The gun was about $1300 add the scope and mounts about $550. Then a carbon fiber tank for air with fits about $600+. Rough estimates but not cheap. Fun though and tack driver accurate.
