on a short family trip. Not a hunting trip, my BIL has a condo S.E. of Salt Lake City in "Solitude"... a ski resort area. The place is beautiful and thought I'd share some pics.

now then, there were these critters running all over the place. Looked just like black tailed prairie dogs to me and we were able to feed them some bread and got very close...within 3 or 4 feet at times, so I got a pretty good look. Later on we were told these were ground squirrels. Maybe? If so, they were doing a real good prairie dog impression.

Hey! Cool place! Thats awesome how its surrounded by all those mountains! I like the log/stone building! Thats pretty sweet! I've never seen a prarie dog in person, but those things look like our tree-rats around here, only with half the tail. That looks like some amazing mountain biking area as well as skiing! Thanks for the pics!

We took the ski lift up the mountain in pic #2 three times and biked down Jerry. Was pretty fun. We crammed a lot into just a few days. Hiking, biking, swimming, tennis, and beer drinking A cow moose hung out near the pond in photo #1 (first post) and we saw some mule deer. I could get used to it.
