Not being the brightest guy on the planet is the Weatherby Mark XXII an Anschutz? From the pics sure looks like the 64 model or 164 or 1500 to me.

It seems odd to me that they could not come up with a new name.
The XXII they sold in the 1970s (?) was a semi auto.

How 'bout the "Mark Annie" and one would have thought they would have used the 54 action instead of the 64.

There is not much need for a 54 action in this caliber. Mine will shoot an honest 100 yd 5 shot group with remington or CCI TNT s that hovers around 1/2".

My 1969 Weatherby Mark XXII was made in Italy by Beretta.
This is one of my guns that's going to be passed down to my son.
