Now that's cool!

I just got a sound modifier for the 223Rem's I own and also plan on using it for the 221FB. It took six months to get all the government BS paper work. mad.gif

However I own two CZ's (17HMR & 17 MkII) that I would love to get a can for also, but don't know of any cans made for a 17 cal. Any info on cans for a 17 cal anyone?

Can you give any details to your suppressed rifle.? Caliber? Make of can?

Thanks in advance. ... Larry

Hi everyone,
I have had a suppressor now for a couple of years, and I put it on a 6.5x284 Encore barrel for long range coyote shooting. It is an extra 1" longer then regular to mask sound direction. One big disadvantage in this ss is that it heats up in one shot and then holds moisture back in the barrel. It is made by Elite Iron. It weighs nearly 2 lbs. but it certainly cut back on the sound. I usually screw it on after I get to my stand because it makes packing my rifle, barrel heavy,
bigtime.
Now to get to my point. I also use this can on my .223 TC Encore barrel, AR 15, 10/22 Ruger and .204 TC Encore barrel. The Ruger is very quiet with standard velocity loads, but anytime you break the speed of sound with the bullet, you will get a crack out of the firearm. Therefore with the speed of the .17, you will still have some noise, but the .22 with low velocity rounds, will be almost silent, if it is a bolt action. You will hear the bolt cycle on a semi-auto.

I'd love to have one to be used in that capacity. It seems that Illinois law prohibits the use of them, and they are not legal under ANY circumstances dry.gif

I may just have to move one of these days.
