Yesterday a buddy and I decided to go for a drive and check out some hunting areas. We decided to setup in a low lying area and try a little calling. We called and in less than 2 min this dog showed up and 50 yards. My buddy shot him with a 17 fireball and the dog spun around once and flopped dead. There was a tiny entrance hole and no exit. What a great fur round.

We ran into some elk about a mile down the road but the pictures did not turn out very well. Three bulls were in velvet and a few cows. We had three other dry stands, but the wind decided to blow about 30.

Later in the afternoon the wind died down and we decided to reduce the squeek population.

This field is almost getting to tall, but we managed around 150 between the three of us...time to reload. It was a great day.
