I took me about 45 minutes this morning to persuade this tom to get close enough to seal the deal.

Glen,
He weighted in at twenty six pounds had 3/4 inch spurs and a 11 3/4 inch beard. I'm gonna try something different this year and have the whole bird smoked. A thought just came to me. That means that bird will have been smoked twice. anim_rofl2.gif

Hello Rich,

Did you take that bird out at the club?? We were out there last week and counted 15 turkeys scrambling through the north pasture. Also the field across from the entrance there was a big tom strutting for a hen and a young deer popped out of the woods between them, the tom just kept on strutting!!

Hey, glad to hear the good news. Congrats. Killed the bird about six miles East off of Zahm Rd.
See you at the Club.
