BIGSHOW
Well as I said, I was in the wood's Thursday and it was a bad day for turkey's didn't hear a bird all day.
It was an awsome trip, Me and a friend went to stay in my cabin on Wendsday night. Setting around the fire nocking a few back and kicking the blow up varmints!. All of a sudden at 10:30pm the coyote's song us a song there was about 5 of them. Well at 5 till 11 they did it more. I loved it you don't get to here them sound off to much here in West Virginia. Well we hit the sack got up a 5 drank some coffen and hit the wood's. We hunted untill 8:30 and nothing, so I told him that we would try another place to here a tunder chicken. We got to the spot called and still no respon's to are calling. I was looking one way and he was set up looking the other. I seen a black spot moving away from us and I knew that he couldn't see it. Well I had to take a double on the movment, I seen what I thought I had never seen before in the wood's in norther WV. It was a dam bear and to see on in my neck of the wood's it make the town talk. Well no birds' but what a trip it was one that I will never forget.

We watch him for about 1/2 an hour befor walking off. The pic arn't that good because of a cheap wally world cam but it is good for proof there is a bear in the wood's that I hunt.

Cant get any birds talkin down here in NM either. Went openin weekend and hunted hard, heard one gobbler who shut up after the first sound. They shut down the forest half way through season due to high fire danger so looks like im gonna have to wait till next year. Maybe yall could send a little bit a that rain this a way smile.gif
Glen
I wish I could send some rain your way!! And on over to California too!! We're looking at rain for the next 4 days again & the 1st three of them is the last of our season here in Ohio.
