I already had a cheap cassette recorder/player laying in a drawer, but you could also use a CD player or MP3 player as well. While Christmas shopping a couple months back, I bought myself one of those Johnny Stewart Predator Ones. It was at the Ft. Bragg exchange discounted to $10 bucks. I could not pass it up. It sounds pretty good close up, but the volume is real lame. It has an input for an external speaker so I plugged it into the amplified speaker. Dang, the volume is no longer lame
In fact it sounds real good. I played the fighting crow tape through the cassette player this afternoon and within seconds I had 6 or 8 of my neighborhood crows over head raising hell with me. We have quite a few grey fox in the woods around here. Gonna give it a try this weekend and see if anything comes running for dinner.
