Put together one of them "el-cheapo" predator callers today...and I like it! Varmint Al has the instructions on his web page...Thanks Al. It was a piece of cake to do and works like a champ. Ok, Ok...It's not a Fox Pro, but it cost me $52 bucks. The difference buys alot of ammo laugh.gif

I already had a cheap cassette recorder/player laying in a drawer, but you could also use a CD player or MP3 player as well. While Christmas shopping a couple months back, I bought myself one of those Johnny Stewart Predator Ones. It was at the Ft. Bragg exchange discounted to $10 bucks. I could not pass it up. It sounds pretty good close up, but the volume is real lame. It has an input for an external speaker so I plugged it into the amplified speaker. Dang, the volume is no longer lame wink.gif In fact it sounds real good. I played the fighting crow tape through the cassette player this afternoon and within seconds I had 6 or 8 of my neighborhood crows over head raising hell with me. We have quite a few grey fox in the woods around here. Gonna give it a try this weekend and see if anything comes running for dinner. My picture link would not take directly off my computer for some reason...But here's a picture link for anyone interested..... http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j236/mike-nc/083.jpg

I saw those sticks and have seen many made by others on the forums. Home made ideas from others that actually work is not only fun to make, but is also taking coup on the retail market as well and that is a good thing cool.gif
